Prostate Cancer by the Numbers

Early detection and education can dramatically change the outcome of this pervasive disease that affects one in nine men.
Prostate cancer is the 2nd most common form of cancer among men and the 2nd most common form of cancer related death among men.
This year alone over 333,830 men will develop prostate cancer, and the disease will claim over 36,000 lives.
A man dies of prostate cancer every 15 minutes. That over 85 deaths per day and 36,320 this year.
Black men are nearly 80% more likely to develop prostate cancer than white men, and are more than twice as likely to die from the disease.
Currently there are over 3.5 million men in America living with prostate cancer.
