The foundation is named after Mike Slive – a former SEC commissioner and a survivor of prostate cancer. “My life was saved by cutting-edge prostate cancer research. Now, I have the opportunity to give back and help save other lives through the foundation,” Slive said. “No one should die from prostate cancer.” Ed Meyerson is a local attorney who founded the organization, and he had seen both his father and his friend Slive battle the disease.
