BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA — The Mike Slive Foundation has named Julie Meyerson Winner to its Board of Directors, continuing the Foundation’s mission to eradicate prostate cancer through research funding, education, and awareness.

Since its founding in 2017, the Mike Slive Foundation has raised more than $4 million to support cutting-edge prostate cancer research while expanding education and awareness efforts that encourage early detection and save lives.

“Our mission is to eradicate prostate cancer, a disease that affects one in eight men,” said Anna Slive Harwood, Executive Director of the Mike Slive Foundation. “Our Board of Directors is made up of exceptional leaders from across the Southeast who are committed to saving lives through research, education, and awareness. Julie has been part of this Foundation’s story from the very beginning, and we’re thrilled to welcome her to the Board as we continue building on the vision her father, Ed Meyerson, and Mike Slive created together.”

Julie Meyerson Winner had a front-row seat to the founding of the Mike Slive Foundation, as her father, Ed Meyerson, helped build the organization alongside Mike Slive in 2016. Today, she joins Anna Slive and her sisters, Laura and Stephanie, in carrying forward their fathers’ shared legacy and expanding the Foundation’s impact.

A graduate of Mountain Brook High School, Julie attended the University of Wisconsin before launching a successful career in advertising. She spent 15 years between New York and Atlanta as a Senior Vice President at BBDO before joining 22Squared, where she worked with Fortune 50 brands and developed expertise in storytelling, brand strategy, and building authentic client relationships.

Julie now serves at Kain Colasanto, where she partners with organizations to identify and recruit executive leadership. Combining her experience in marketing and executive search, she helps companies build leadership teams that align with their culture, vision, and long-term goals.

“Joining the Mike Slive Foundation Board is deeply personal for my sisters and me,” said Meyerson Winner. “We had the privilege of watching our father, Ed Meyerson, and Mike Slive build something they believed could truly change lives. Their friendship, shared vision, and commitment to finding a cure for prostate cancer created a legacy that continues to make an impact today. It is an honor to help carry that legacy forward alongside Anna Slive and the entire Foundation as we work toward a future where no family has to face this disease.”

Julie lives in Atlanta’s Virginia-Highland neighborhood with her husband, Jeff, and their two children.
